Advancing Canada's Competitive Advantage – A national forum on management

Mr Howard Thomas, Chair of the AACSB International and of the Association of Business Schools, will open a day-long series of workshops grouped under the theme “Emerging Issues”, on Friday October 2nd at 8 am. During his presentation entitled Business Schools and Management Research: Evaluation, Impact and Future Evolution, Mr Thomas will reflect on the current debates about research in management.

Howard Thomas is Dean of the Warwick Business School (United Kingdom) as well as a renowned and prolific researcher. In the past, Mr Thomas has notably been dean at the College of Commerce and Business Administration, University of Illinois (United States); Foundation Professor at the Australian Graduate School of Management (Australia); and Director of the Doctoral Programme at London Business School (United Kingdom). Mr. Thomas also plays different roles in institutions such as: the Academy of Management, the Strategic Management Society, the Sunningdale Institute of the Cabinet Office, the European Foundation for Management Development and the Global Foundation for Management Education.
