A Crisis Unlike Any Other… And What to do About it?

During his presentation, Professor Yvan Allaire will first describe the causes that lead to the collapse of the American financial system and propose solutions likely to change the very basis of the current economic system. He believes that the “one share, one-vote” exchange-listed company, owned by an array of transitional and often speculative funds, managed by highly paid, mobile mercenaries, is at the root of the repeated failures experienced over the last twenty years” (Allaire and Firsirotu, Black Markets… Business Blues, FI Press 2009). In his opinion, a series of measures must be implemented to protect our economic system from the abuses and predations of the financial markets.
