Hugo Steben

Born and raised in Montreal, Hugo Steben has always been fascinated with complexity and creative problem-solving. A food aficionado as well as an avid fan of brainteasers and intellectual challenges of all sorts, he has discovered, through his experiments, that the string theory of quantum physics is actually made of spaghetti, the gravitational forces being strongly correlated with the degree of al dente-ness.

Through his work experiences, he has been involved in the management of many creative projects, mainly in publishing, as well as in environmental and architectural design. After a brief stint in health science studies, he obtained an undergraduate degree from l’École des Sciences de la Gestion (UQÀM) in international management with a minor in marketing, and is currently in his second year of M.Sc. studies in management at HEC Montreal. Fascinated by creativity and its use as a competitive advantage and a strategic driver of performance, his thesis subject focuses on the internationalization process of creative SMEs.
