The Doctoral Workshop will take place at HEC Montréal on Wednesday, August 15, 2012 in the afternoon.
Goal
The RIRL Doctoral Workshop is intended for students who are in the first and second year of their studies. It provides PhD students with a forum to present and discuss their research and an opportunity to get feedback from and exchange comments and views with experienced researchers in the field.
The discussions will focus on design, methodology and preliminary results.
Registration
To apply for participation in the Doctoral Seminar, submit three pages summarizing research design, methodology, expected results and problems encountered or expected. This document should present five to ten major references to the project.
The first page should include:
The title or the subject, the name of the PhD student and contact info (email, phone, postal address), University, Research centre, Thesis Director and his/her contact info(affiliation, postal address, email, phone, fax) and a maximum of five key words.
This document must be sent no later than March 1st, 2012 to julie.2.paquette@hec.ca.
Notification and preparation
Applicants will be notified of acceptance or rejection of their proposal by March 29, 2012. Successful applicants will then be asked to prepare a PowerPoint presentation (max. 10 slides) describing their research design, methodology, expected results and problems encountered.
Fee
Accepted students will have to register to the conference: Register now.
The fee is CA$280, plus taxes, for the conference, including the Doctoral Workshop (CA$320, plus taxes, after May 31, 2012).
