Ann Langley is Canada Research Chair in Strategic Management in Pluralistic Settings, professor of management at HEC Montréal, codirector of the Strategy as Practice Study Group à HEC Montréal and associate member of the Groupe de recherche interdisciplinaire en santé at University of Montreal. She completed her undergraduate and master’s degrees in the United Kingdom and obtained her Ph.D. in management at HEC Montreal in 1987 after several years working in both private and public sectors as an analyst and consultant. She is the author of two books and over 50 articles. Her research deals with strategic management processes and practices, with special emphasis on organizational change, decision making, leadership and innovation in pluralistic settings. She has a particular interest in qualitative research methods. Ann Langley is coeditor of the journal Strategic Organization and senior editor of Organization Studies. She is also co-editor with Haridimos Tsoukas of the book series Perspectives on Process Organization Studies published by Oxford University Press. She is adjunct professor at NHH, Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration, and at Université de Montréal.
